Porsche restored Walter Rohrl racing 924 Carrera GTS

The Walter Rohrl became 74 years old on March 7 and Porsche renovated racing 924 Carrera GTS Rohrl that led to the 1981 German Rally Championship and revealed by the surprise.

Porsche had built 9 such racing 924 Carrera GTS, with Rohrl being the 5th with floor protectors, fiberglass coating on the axles and gearbox, and the 928 fuel dispenser.

The car is painted in gold and black, with Porsche engineers replacing the fuel supply system with a new one, while they rebuilt the brake calipers, the intercooler housing and the KKK 26 turbine. The car has the original racing clutch and is powered by a four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine.

With this 924 Carrera GTS, Walter Rohrl managed to get 4 victories, finishing in second place in the drivers' championship.
