Kompanija Škoda ima novi dijagnostički alat, a to je Škoda Sound Analyzer aplikacija za mobilne telefone. Škoda je obavila testiranje nove aplikacije namijenjene mobilnim telefonima za koju vjeruje da će “olakšati život” mehaničarima u Škodinim prodajnim salonima i servisima širom Evrope.
Aplikaciju nazvanu Škoda Sound Analyser je razvila kompanija Škoda, a radi se o jednostavnom dijagnostičkom alatu koji upozorava na potencijalne probleme sa škodinim automobilima tako što “sluša” zvuk motora.
Ovaj sistem je toliko osjetljiv da može otkriti i najmanje nepravilnosti rada motora te predložiti različite servise i popravke.
Aplikacija snima zvuk motora i upoređuje ga sa nizom snimaka potpuno ispravnih Škodinih motora. Može otkriti odstupanja u zvučnim signalima, a potom koristi algoritam da mehaničaru predloži najbolji način djelovanja. Audio fajl se pretvara u spektrogram, vizuelni prikaz zvučnih signala te ih upoređuje s kontrolnim setom za odstupanja u uzorku spektrograma.
Preciznost sistema se procjenjuje na više od 90 posto, a osim za motor, efikasan je i za upravljački sistem, mjenjač pa čak i kompersor klima uređaja. Mogućnosti sistema će u narednom periodu biti još veće.
Aplikacija se testira od juna 2019. godine na 14 evropskih tržišta, odnosno u 245 Škodinih salona i servisnih centara.

On March 28, 1991, Jan Vrba, Minister of Industry of the Czech Republic and Carl H. Hahn, Chairman of the Board of Volkswagen Group, signed an agreement to establish a joint venture Skoda. The Volkswagen Group received 31% of the shares of Skoda paying 620 million marks. It then gradually increased its stake to 100% of the shares on 30 May 2000.
In the years that followed, Skoda grew rapidly. From 17,000 employees in 1991, the company now employs 42,000 people while several hundred billion Czech crowns were invested in research, development and expansion of the brand's capacity.
