Maturo Competition Cars is with a new Dutch company preparing wonderful Lancia Delta restomods . The company is preparing the Maturo Classic, Maturo Stradale and Maturo Rally, with the restomod starting with a Delta donor car. The company completely disassembles the car and reinforces the frame with an additional 250 spot welds and a custom cage, thus increasing its rigidity.
The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine gets a larger Garrett turbine, a larger intercooler, forged pistons and forged connecting rods, new injectors and a new fuel system, while the wiring harness is also new, with the ECU getting a new program. Now the turbine raises a pressure of 1.8 bar from 1.2 and thus the engine output from 200 horses increases to 380 horses and 550 Nm of torque.
The five-speed manual transmission is reworked to handle the extra horsepower, with the company fitting differential locks with axles made from an alloy created for Formula 1 cars that makes them capable of handling corners of up to 40 degrees without distortion. The suspension is adjustable and the braking system is new.
The body panels are made from carbon fiber and weigh 45kg less than factory, with the car weighing in at 1,200kg. Inside there are leather and Alcantara upholstery, carbon, aluminum and titanium trim, as well as Sparko carbon bucket seats.
