Virgin Atlantic Flight Turns Around Because Co-Pilot Doesn't Have Required Training

It turns out the flight’s first officer hadn’t finished their final assessment flight. Compounding the issue, the captain of the aircraft was not designated as a trainer, and thus wasn’t qualified to fly with a first officer who hadn’t completed the training. After returning to Heathrow, a qualified first officer joined the flight, which made it to JFK 2 hours and 40 minutes behind schedule.
The issue seems to have been a technicality. Virgin Atlantic told The Telegraph that both pilots were licensed and qualified to fly the aircraft under UK aviation laws, and that the missing certification is an internal requirement unique to Virgin Atlantic. The captain of the flight has logged thousands of hours, and the first officer joined Virgin Atlantic in 2017. However, the pairing of a captain without a “trainer” designation with a first officer who hasn’t completed the airline’s final assessment flight broke Virgin Atlantic’s internal training rules.

Let za Kisinjev, Moldavija.
Prilaz sa zapada na istok, da se ne bi islo u Ukrajinu koja je samo 70tak kilometara od aerodroma.
I odlet sa istoka prema zapadu.
Primecen samo jedan avion/dron, bez ukljucenog moda “S” na transponderu koji je brzo nestao sa ekrana.
Divan dan, lepa zemlja, a na sto kilometara odatle - rat.

Da li je neko skoro koristio online checkin za AS?
Sve vreme javlja kao gresku, kad se okrene podrska, klikces jedno 5 minuta dok ne dodjes do prave opcije i na kraju cekas 20 minuta, sa idiotskom muzikom, da bi podrska rekla, kod nas je sve OK, mozete uraditi checkin. Ja kazem da sam vec pokusavao i da nece, a ona - nista onda, dodjite 2 sata ranije na aerodrom.

Turkish flight cancelled takeoff as passengers received plane crash images via AirDrop
Izraelci bogami prate sve zivoThe captain of a Turkish AnadoluJet flight aborted its take-off at Israel’s main airport after passengers received plane crash images on their phones.
Israel’s aviation authority said the aircraft was taxiing at Ben Gurion Airport when the incident happened.
The AnadoluJet Boeing 737, with 160 passengers on board, was on its way to the take-off position when passengers alerted the crew that they had received the photos. The captain was informed and decided to return to the terminal.
The Hebrew Ynet news site reported that the images were shared via AirDrop, an Apple service which enables users to send files from one Apple device to another across short distances. All the images were received on iPhones, it said.
The pictures included images of a Turkish Airlines plane which crashed in the Netherlands in 2009 and another plane crash in the United States in 2013, Ynet said.
Passengers and crew were taken off and the luggage reinspected. Several young Israelis were identified as suspects and are being questioned. The plane departed five hours late after being cleared to leave.

BTW, YU-ANI ide u Kinu, a svi ATR u vlasnistvu ce na rezanje sem jednog (mozda).
Tako da ce nacionalni avioprevozilac ostati sa jednim avionom u vlasnistvu, ili bez aviona u opste.

Iskreno mi i dalje nije jasno sta kinezi dobijaju sa tim 737. Ono sto je sigurno da su mogli da izguraju i ovu letnju-carter sezonu, imali su resurse. Viidim da ce verovatno opet Smartwings-ov 737 biti u wet leasingu.

Sestra mi daje sina da uci pilotiranje u Americi a ima 13 godina 
Bas sam je pitao da li ima neka restrikcija u godinama, samo kaze da je vazno da je dovoljno visok a moze da dohvati nogama komande E stvarno ludilo. Plus mi zet radi na tom aerodromu pa dobijaju neki silan popust...

Ljubo, neka se raspitaju malo. Ne verujem da i jedan roditelj svome detetu zeli takav zivot.
Ponovio sam vise puta, ovde na forumu, pogledaj govor Sully Sulenberga u kongresu. Sve je u pravu milion posto.
Hawk, mislim da su i najmladji na ovim fotkama davno u pemziji.

Ma samo da pilotira onim malim avionima. Ne interesuje nju da joj bude sin pilot. Nego joj se muz zaposlio na sportskom aerodromu pa ima povoljnu mogucnost jos jedne animacije I meni je to bas velika zelja, samo kod nas (NL) je to prilicno skupo…
