Groblje skoro novih Audijevih automobila, verovatno vraćenih sa lizinga.
Meanwhile in Germany Audi keeps on sending excess cars to be destroyed 70 Miles north of Munich so their prices wouldnt decline

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S officially revealed

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... cYHZ0uC8JU

Porsche has revealed today the 911 Turbo and Turbo S, ahead of a public debut scheduled for September at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Following several reports and batches of spy shots, the latest 911 Turbo lineup has arrived. Turbo and Turbo S make use of a six-cylinder, 3.8-liter direct-injection turbocharged engine delivering 520 HP (383 kW) in the 911 Turbo and 560 HP (412 kW) in the 911 Turbo S variant. Power is transferred to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK with auto stop/start function which has slashed off fuel consumption by 16 percent to 9.7 liters / 100 km (24.2 mpg US or 29.1 mpg UK).
The 911 Turbo equipped with Sport Chrono Package will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds, while the Turbo S is 0.1s quicker. Both of them are capable of reaching a top speed of 198 mph (318 km/h).
Length has increased by 40mm to 4490mm, while width is also up by 28mm compared to Carrera 4 models to 1878mm. Porsche has also stretched the wheelbase by 100mm to 2450mm, while the front and rear tracks are also longer than before. Both models ride on 20-inch alloy wheels but only the S version has hub wheel locks. The Turbo S also gains full LED headlights with four-point daytime running lights and camera-based main beam control (optionally available for Turbo).
Just like the 911 GT3, the Turbo variants have four-wheel steering which help the cars lap Nürburgring in less than 7 minutes 30 seconds with standard production tires fitted. Both of them have a retractable three-stage rear spoiler and a deployable rear wing with three adjustable wing positions.
Scheduled to reach the market in September, the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo has a starting price in Germany of 162,055 EUR while the 911 Turbo S begins at 195,256 EUR. VAT and country-specific taxes included. Preuzeto sa WorldCarFans.

Speed limit for new vans backed by EU Parliament committee

BRUSSELS (Reuters) -- The top speed of vans in the European Union should be electronically limited to 120kph (75 mph), according to a proposal backed by the European Parliament's environment committee.

The plan is part of a debate on how to cut carbon emissions and improve the fuel efficiency of Europe's vehicles. It would only become law if approved by EU member states.

Under Tuesday's proposal, vehicle makers would have to fit all new vans sold in the EU with devices to restrict their speed starting Jan. 1, 2014.

The environment committee members also voted on rules to implement a 147 grams per kilometer carbon dioxide emission limit as an average for all EU new vans starting in 2020 and put forward a maximum range of 105g/km to 120g/km starting in 2025.

German liberal politician Holger Krahmer, who has been leading the debate on vans in the European Parliament, welcomed confirmation of the 147g/km target, but opposed the speed restriction, saying road traffic rules were a matter for individual member states.

The European Automobile Manufacturer's Association (ACEA) --- which represents makers including Daimler, Ford of Europe, General Motors Europe and Renault Group -- said the 147g/km goal was extremely ambitious and could only be achieved with hybrid vehicle technology.

It called, in a statement, for "more effective" use of loopholes called supercredits, which allow manufacturers to carry on making powerful, polluting vehicles if they also produce very low emission vehicles such as electric vans and cars.

The original proposals from the European Commission said supercredits could spur innovation, but too generous an allocation would undermine the effectiveness of the law to increase fuel efficiency and decrease emissions.

Environmental campaigners say the 147g/km target for vans is not ambitious enough. They say it can be easily met through measures such as lighter materials and more streamlining and is less ambitious than proposals for cars.

For cars, the parliament has backed rules to enforce a goal of 95g/km, which campaign group Transport & Environment (T&E) said translated into 118g/km for vans, taking into account their larger size and loads they have to carry.

While criticizing what it saw as a lack of ambition, T&E welcomed to proposal to cap speed, saying vans were the only commercial vehicles that are not yet speed-limited.

It cited consumer surveys in Britain, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands that show a majority of citizens support the idea.

The parliament will now start negotiating a legal text with European ministers and the Commission, the bloc's executive. Ireland, holder of the rotating EU presidency, has said it hopes for a deal on vehicle emissions before the end of June.
