ABT Sportsline has unveiled the XGT which is essentially an R8 LMS GT2 that can be driven legally on public roads. The car wears the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter FSI engine that produces 640 horses, with the drive being sent to the rear wheels.
It weighs 1,400kg, 170 less than the R8 GT RWD and inside we get a roll cage, racing steering wheel, racing seats, with ABT adding central locking, reversing camera, handbrake, air conditioning, turn signals, electrically adjustable mirrors and a standard digital instrument cluster, equipment that the racing R8 LMS GT2 does not have.

ABT has made modifications to the engine's thermal management, software, braking system and fueling system. The exhaust is new so that the car meets the emission and noise regulations, with the rims measuring 19″ in front and 20″.
Production of the ABT XGT will be limited to 99 units, each priced at €598,000.
