Modern, dynamic and emotional; the new ŠKODA Fabia rolls up on the automotive catwalk. The first design sketch shows a young, crisp, urban small car with typical ŠKODA genes and lots of character.
DESIGN
This is the first time in a series production vehicle that ŠKODA designers have incorporated elements from the ŠKODA VisionC show car. ŠKODA Motorsport has also provided inspiration for the final design. These two foundations combined give the new ŠKODA Fabia more dynamics, passion and emotion.
EXTERIOR
This sharp, new image fuses crystalline shapes and sharp lines with the highest precision. The hatchback model is characterised by well-balanced, tight proportions. The new ŠKODA Fabia is now nine centimetres wider and stands three centimetres lower.
INTERIOR
The ŠKODA Fabia now offers a completely new, versatile interior with individual options for customization.
Engines
The new Fabia will use up to 17 per cent less fuel than its predecessor, making it the most environment-friendly and fuel-efficient Fabia of all time. Its all-new engine lineup (four petrol and three diesel engines) complies with the EU6 emissions regulation and featuring a start-stop system and kinetic energy recuperation as standards. Transmissions will be either a manual or a DSG double-clutch gearbox.
The petrol engines available are new three- and four-cylinder series based on MQB technology. The 1.0 MPI three-cylinders have indirect injection, while the four-cylinders are turbocharged with stratified injection (TSI) and engine size of 1.2 litres. Power output begins at 44 kW (60 hp) and ranges up to 81 kW (110 hp).
Diesel engines available for the new ŠKODA Fabia comprise three performance levels of the new turbocharged direct-injection 1.4 litre common-rail design with three cylinders. Its engine block is made of aluminium alloy. At 55 kW to 77 kW, power output is unchanged from the second generation of the Fabia, though engine size is now 1.4 litres, not 1.6 litres as it was.
ŠKODA Fabia GreenLine
1.4 TDI/55 kW
Fuel consumption: 3.1 l/100 km
CO2 emissions: 82 g/km
New Skoda Fabia comes with a completely new range of engines.
Up to 17% lower fuel consumption and emissions. All engines meet EU 6 standards: four petrol and three diesel engines. The peak value of the ŠKODA Fabia GreenLine: consumption of 3.1 l/100 km, CO2 emissions of 82 g / km. The third generation Škoda Fabia is fully present in early October 2014 at the International Motor Show in Paris. Already now the however reveals as a wagon, who intends to define new benchmarks of consumption and of emissions: in comparison s predecessor will be by up to 17% more economical. News will become the cleanest and most economical member of the Fabia models of all time. The newly developed range of four petrol and three diesel engines meet EU 6 emission standard
The new ŠKODA Fabia will only have a new, ultra-efficient engines of new generation. Including variants GreenLine includes offer for EU countries four petrol and three diesel engines. All units fulfills a new emission standard EU 6 a are serially equipped with a system Start-Stop a recuperation the braking energy. Transmissions can be manually actuated, automatic variant is a dual clutch DSG system. A variety of new petrol engines, based on techniques MQB includes units with three or four cylinders. 1.0 MPI three-cylinder have indirect fuel injection; 1.2 TSI four-cylinder engines are equipped with direct fuel injection and turbocharging. The power spectrum extends from 44 kW (60 hp) to 81 kW (110 hp). Those interested in the diesel engine can choose one of three power variants of the new three-cylinder 1.4 TDI engine block made of aluminum alloy. In all cases these are about aggregate about volume of 1.4 liter s direct injection fuel Common Rail and by supercharging turbocharger. As with the previous generation, which offered four-cylinder 1.6-liter, available capacities from 55 kW to 77 kW; in the news, however, these parameters achieved at lower engine capacity. Greenest performing in a number of the Fabia GreenLine version with engines 1.4 TDI/55 kW (75 hp), which arrives on the market in late 2015. Due to the combination of Start-Stop, brake energy regeneration, tires with reduced rolling resistance and aerodynamic modifications targeted the new ŠKODA Fabia GreenLine achieve consumption of just 3.1 l/100 km, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of just 82 g / km.
The new ŠKODA Fabia GreenLine is so 2015 will become the greenest Škoda car running on conventional fuels; before it will be only ŠKODA Citigo G-TEC on compressed natural gas. Depending on the equipment motorization and the new Fabia up to 65 kg lighter than the previous generation (taking into account the higher standard of standard equipment in the new generation). The basic version of the 1.0 MPI three-cylinder engine has a curb weight (without driver) only 980 kg. With the third generation Fabia Mladá Boleslav automaker strengthens its competence maker of environmentally conscious. Philosophy company ŠKODA AUTO is clearly defined: ecological mobility must be affordable available - with an obvious benefit for customers i the environment.
