INCREASED OFF-ROAD CAPABILITIES IN 4X4 VERSION
The new Duster is available with a 4x4 Terrain Control drivetrain that can be driven through 5
driving modes:
- AUTO: the transmission automatically distributes torque between the front and rear axles depending on
grip and speed.
- SNOW: optimizes trajectories on slippery roads thanks to specific settings of the ESC and
traction control.
- MUD/SAND: for traveling on loose surfaces such as muddy or sandy paths.
- OFF-ROAD: offers the best crossing capabilities off-road and on difficult paths. He is
very close in terms of performance to the 4x4 lock mode of the current Duster, but goes further by distributing
automatically and optimally the torque between the front and rear wheels depending on the conditions
adhesion values and vehicle speed.
ECO: allows you to optimize fuel consumption by acting on air conditioning and vehicle performance.
vehicle. It best optimizes the distribution of engine torque between the front and rear axles to limit the
fuel consumption while adapting to road grip conditions.
Off-road-proof ground clearance: 217 mm (measured between the axles) for the 4x4 version, at
best level on the market.
Even more favorable approach and departure angles for overcoming obstacles on 4x4 versions,
up to 31° at the front and 36° at the rear, and a ventral angle of 24°.
A downhill speed control system. This system is particularly useful when driving off-road or
steeply descending. It acts in particular on the brakes to prevent the vehicle from racing away and thus ensure a speed
adapted (according to driver requests) from 0 to 30 km/h. The system works on all gears in the box
of gears, including reverse. The driver no longer has to worry about the accelerator and brake pedals,
only from the steering wheel.
A lot of information particularly useful when driving off-road is displayed on the 10.1 central screen
inches:
- Right/left lateral inclination angle of the vehicle
- Pitch angle to appreciate uphill and downhill slopes
- Torque distribution between the front and rear axles.
For information, the tce 130 is indeed a 48v mHEV, outside Europe DCi 100 and 115 hp will be available.
