Da su hteli da porade na ekologiji, umesto raznih glupiranja mnogo je lakše i mnogostruko jeftinije je bilo uvesti alkohol kao gorivo, dal' kao metanol, etanol ili E85 svejedno i to je moglo da se uradi poodavno.

Bernie Ecclestone has vowed to get to work on making formula one loud again.

The F1 chief executive said he is "horrified" by the purring tones of the new turbo V6 era, arguing it will drive race promoters and spectators away.

Ecclestone was critical of the new engine formula long before the first 1.6 litre 'power unit' was fired up, but his latest comments follow Melbourne race organisers' claim the low volume may even be a breach of contract.

"It's not what we paid for. It's going to change," Australian Grand Prix chairman Ron Walker told Melbourne's Age newspaper.

Walker said he has spoken to his friend Ecclestone already, while Ecclestone admitted he has been on the phone to FIA president Jean Todt.

"What I've said is that we need to see whether there is some way of making them sound like racing cars," the 83-year-old Briton told the Telegraph.

"I don't know whether it's possible but we should investigate.

"I think let's get the first few races out of the way and then maybe look to do something. We can't wait all season. It could be too late by then," said Ecclestone.

Zoran Stefanovich, who tried and failed to enter the sport with defunct Toyota's assets in 2010, is back on the cusp of formula one.

Although it is believed the Serbian has withdrawn his application to put together a brand new team for 2015, Italy's Omnicorse reports that Stefanovich has been in talks to take over the existing backmarker Marussia.

The report said the Stefanovich talks date back to last November, as the interest of current Marussia owner Nikolay Fomenko is waning under the stresses of the more expensive 2014 regulations.

Former Renault chief Flavio Briatore says the cost explosion in F1 is "madness".

"Given the current crisis, it is pointless to set a budget limit at $200 million. It only needs to be 100 million," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport last week.

"It shouldn't be forgotten that 30 per cent of the teams are at risk of not even finishing the season," Briatore claimed.

Rubens Barrichello, the most experienced driver in F1 history who still attends the races for the Brazilian broadcaster Globo, was also linked with the latest Stefanovich rumours.

No engine to power Stefanovich's F1 bid

Zoran Stefanovich has admitted he had to withdraw his bid to enter formula one in 2015 because he could not agree an engine deal.

Alongside Gene Haas and Colin Kolles' separate bids, Serbian Stefanovich - who also tried and failed to enter F1 with departed Toyota's assets in 2010 - recently renewed his push to join the sport.

F1's governing body has delayed making a decision about the twelfth team for 2015, but Stefanovich has confirmed reports he is no longer in the running.

The biggest problem, he told Italy's Omnicorse, was that he was unable to agree terms with either Mercedes, Ferrari or Renault for a customer turbo V6.

"Our view is that everyone should play the game on the same field," he said, "but we were not able to close a contract for the supply of an engine with one of the existing manufacturers, and we talked for a long time with all of them.

"Since we did not reach an agreement on the power unit, our participation was compromised and we were forced to stop in the middle of the selection process," said Stefanovich.

"There was no equality of treatment," he complained, "but we do have a future in F1."

Indeed, it is rumoured that Stefanovich has been in talks with Marussia.

When asked about those contacts, he answered: "I have had contact with several teams for several years, which is a known fact.

"I don't think I need to go into the details of any ongoing negotiations at this time."
