The new Peugeot 308 has set a new record of consumption, with the new 3-cylinder turbo petrol PureTech , e-1.2 THP 130 hp: 1810 kilometers with a full, or 2.85 l/100 km!
The Peugeot 308, recently elected Car of the Year 2014 in Europe, completes its range with the new turbo petrol engine PureTech: the 1.2 e-THP 130 hp. Sedan series has set a new record of consumption: 2.85 liters of fuel / 100 km and 1810 kilometers with a full!
This performance was achieved on the Almeria circuit (Spain) under the control of the French authorities UTAC (Union Technique de l'Automobile, motorcycle and cycle). Peugeot 308 sedan, strictly serial equipped with the new three-cylinder engine and turbo petrol PureTech equipped with a manual six-speed, has been riding for more than 32 hours while consuming 51.4 liters. The 308 sets a new record consumption and distance on a single tank. To achieve this, several drivers had to take over at the wheel during the test .
This performance was achieved with a model series and thus allows the Peugeot 308 1.2 THP 130 the e-becoming the benchmark for consumer model widely equipped with a petrol engine. A compact, powerful and virtuous times, this is a turbo engine efficiency and technology focused.
In addition to the high-pressure direct injection (200 bar) and a new generation turbo high performance (turning 240,000 rev / min), it represents a real technological breakthrough. Marketed at the end of March, the Peugeot 308 1.2 l THP e-130 is approved to 4.6 l / 100km and 107g CO 2 / km. It joins three engines gasoline (82 to 155 hp) and four diesel engines (92 to 150 hp) currently available on the 308 range.
As for the turbo petrol engine PureTech it will be available on Peugeot 208 and Peugeot 2008 110 hp version in the coming weeks.
