China Sales Down 24% in January

The global automotive powers are likely not going to be able to rely on the strength and growth of the Chinese market this year, because results are in for the first month of the year, and it looks like there won’t be a repeat of last year’s performance.

According to Bloomberg, sales in January tumbled 24 percent, the biggest decline in seven years. However, it’s not all bad news, since the earlier than normal Lunar New Year came with a long holiday that slashed a weeks worth of sales.

However, further signs that the world’s second-largest economy is cooling are evident, as retail grew at the slowest pace since 2009’s global financial crisis.

One possible glimmer of hope is that China’s well-to-do are in fact buying cars, as BMW sales rose 30% and Audi grew 23%.

Mercedes pomaže Renaultu


Prema informacijama koje dolaze iz francuske kompanije, dva proizvođača udružiće snage u razvoju novog Renaultovog automobila iz visoke klase.



Renault Latitude - naslednik će imati nemački pedigre“Renault računa na strateško partnerstvo sa Mercedesom u konstruisanju novog automobila visoke klase”, izjavio je za francuski radio izvršni direktor kompanije Renault-Nissan Karlos Gon (Carlos Ghosn).

On je dodao da je Renault do sada imao loša iskustva u proizvodnji i plasmanu luksuznih automobila i da im je zbog toga preko potrebno iskustvo premijum marke, kao što je Mercedes.

Renault u toj klasi trenutno ima model Latitude, naslednika Vel Satisa, čija je proizvodnja prekinuta 2009. godine zbog slabih rezultata prodaje.

Inače, Renault-Nissan alijansa prvi put je ozvaničila saradnju sa vlasnikom Mercedesa, Daimlerom, 2010. godine.

U okviru te saradnje nastaće sledeća generacija modela Smart sa četiri sedišta, koja će se proizvoditi na istoj platformi kao i budući Renault Twingo, a oba modela imaće premijeru 2013. godine.

Takođe, Daimler i Nissan zajedno će razvijati četvorocilindrične motore koji će se ugrađivati u Mercedesove modele, ali i u automobile Nissanovog premium brenda Infiniti. Proizvodnja ovih agregata planirana je za 2014. godinu.

Samo da Renault ne prođe kao Mitsubishi (vreme saradnje sa Daimlerom se u Mitsubishi-ju nezvanično zvalo 'okupacija').

Renault begins Lodgy production in Morocco, targets Europe

PARIS -- Renault has opened its new Dacia plant in Tangiers, Morocco. The factory will build the Lodgy minivan and an as-yet unnamed model for European and other markets.

The plant will have a annual capacity of 400,000 units by 2013 and will export 85 percent of its production to Europe, Africa, Mexico, and Middle East.

Europe, Dacia's biggest market, will take most of the vehicles.

The Tangiers facility complements Dacia's factory in Pitesti, Romania, which Renault said is at full capacity and will not produce the Lodgy.

A Renault spokesperson would not comment on output targets at the new facility, where Renault will also produce a new commercial van based on a Dacia platform in addition to the Lodgy, which it goes on sale later this year.

The plant's opening has generated a stir in France with critics accusing Renault of transferring jobs outside of the country, while ignoring the fact that the French government owns a 15 percent stake in the automaker.

'Dangerous development'

"We see this factory as a dangerous development," said Fabien Gache, a spokesman for the CGT, Renault's dominant French union. "These vehicles are basically 'Loganized' Scenics and Kangoos," Gache said. "They're bound to hit the Renault brand's market share."

Renault said it has always based production of its low-cost Dacia brand cars outside of western Europe as part of its no-frills business model.

"The question of building this factory in western Europe didn't even arise," Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn said in a radio interview ahead of the plant opening ceremony on Thursday. "That would have been incompatible with the concept" of low-cost vehicles, he said.

Renault hopes the Lodgy will build on the success of its Dacia division. The estimated 10,000-12,000 euro entry price for the Lodgy, available in five- or seven-seater versions, compares with French prices starting from around 21,000 euros for a Renault Scenic or Volkswagen Touran, excluding special offers.

The Dacia Lodgy, shown, will cost half the price of a Renault Scenic.

The Lodgy builds on the surprise domestic success of Renault's low-cost Dacia brand. The original 2004 Logan sedan proved more successful in Europe than in many of the emerging markets for which it was designed, such as India. Dacia's Duster SUV has since become a runaway hit in France.

Western European sales of Renault models dropped 8.5 percent in 2011, outpacing the region's overall 1.3 percent decline in car registrations, while Dacia increased its market share.

Renault's low-cost entry vehicles, sold as Dacias in Europe and Renaults elsewhere, increased their share of group deliveries to one-third last year from about a quarter in 2010 - even after the withdrawal of government crisis incentives that favored cheaper cars.

Skoda Rapid to Debut in Geneva. Will Cost €13,000

It’s been ages since Skoda unveiled the MissionL Concept in September 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. We loved the angular look of those headlights and the new grille this compact sedan came with.

But the first production version, oddly enough, was launched in India. The Rapid sedan, as it came to be known, quickly gained in popularity there and was named “Family Car of the Year in India.”

According to German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, the European debut of the Rapid sedan will take place at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, which is little more than a couple of weeks away. What’s more, when it’s introduced to the German market, it should cost as little as €13,000. Now, we’re going to guess this means you’ll get the usual 1.2-liter TSI with about 85 hp, but it’s the perfect car if your extra cash is as hard to find as a 10-year old’s. Which is probably true for a lot of people in crisis-struck Europe.

Meni se dopada. Pretpostavljam da je na platformi Fabije, ali deluje mi mnogo ozbiljniji od nje.
Biti zaljubljen, to je isto kao kad se usereš u gaće...Svi vide, ali samo ti imaš onaj poseban osećaj topline.
Iskustvo je predivna stvar. Omogućava vam da prepoznate grešku kada je ponovite.
Mogu ja to tebi objasniti, ali ti to ne možeš shvatiti!

Banke preuzimaju Pininfarinu kako dugovi dolaze na naplatu

Financijski kolaps legendarnog talijanskog dizajnerskog maga natjerao je njegovo vodstvo da prekine s proizvodnjom automobila i sve svoje snage usmjeri samo na njihov dizajn. Suradnja s Volvom prekinuta je, proizvodno postrojenje zatvoreno, a radnici poslani na ulicu. Koliko god to bile dobre vijesti za financijsko stanje Pininfarine ovaj dizajner se još nije izvukao…

Obiteljski biznis uskoro će prijeći u ruke bankara pa će Pininfarina prvi puta nakon 82 godine biti prepuštena nekom drugome. Prema pisanju Reutersa čak 77% udjela u ovom dizajnerskom studiju preuzimaju Intesa Sanpaolo, UniCredit, Mediobanca i Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena.

Vodstvo Pininfarine bilo je sklono prodaji branda no budući da niti jedna ozbiljna ponuda nije došla na njihovu adresu u igru su uskočile talijanske banke. To ne bi trebao utjecati na Pininfarinino poslovanje pa će ovaj dizajne automobila i dalje stvarati nevjerojatne automobile, baš kao što je to bilo i 1930. kada je tvrtka osnovana.

French bill would heavily tax cars with over 180 horsepower

A group of 19 left-wing deputies from all around France have drafted a bill that aims to impose a 33.3% sales tax on what it calls “luxury cars”.

For the purpose of the bill, a luxury car is defined as any new car that has a power output of 180 horsepower or more. A car’s retail price and its size are not taken into account.

The bill is an attempt to put much-needed money back in the state’s coffers, though the deputies did not say how much the country would earn if the bill is passed.

“In the current economic situation that France is in, it seems necessary to raise taxes on luxury cars in order to help reduce the country’s budget deficit,” explained the deputies in a statement. “The main appeal of luxury cars is their power, so it is fitting to tax buyers based on that.”

Members of the auto industry have loudly spoken out against the bill. Most argue that the deputies’ definition of a luxury car is skewed, and that 180 horsepower is too low. According to the bill’s guidelines, a Volkswagen Polo GTI falls in the “luxury car” category.

Critics also argue that similar measures taken in the 1960s and 1970s ended up killing French luxury cars, and that the effects of those decisions are still felt today by automakers. Over the years, PSA Peugeot Citroën and Renault have given up an overwhelming majority of their shares in the luxury car segment to foreign automakers.

A decision on the matter will be taken before the summer of 2012.

Odlepio svet skroz. Nemaju para pa udaraju gde stignu, isto ko i ovi nasi. Dozvoljeno ti je da vozis mali gradski auto star 3-4 god, da odes jednom godisnje na more, da imas para toliko da mozete da prezivite i to je to. Sve preko toga je LUKSUZ!
A nijedan predsednik Vlade se ne vozi bez auta od 100.000 eur, trosi se kao da nije recesija, dobijaju se dnevnice za kojekakve gluposti, bahati se po Kanu, Nici i Monte Karlu... Dosta mi je vise i nasih i "njinih"! :palica:

2015 Ford Focus RS details come into focus

The Frankfurt Motor Show that took place in September 2011 saw the debut of the Focus ST. It was the new global model's first foray into high performance. We now expect the American auto maker to work on a peak performance Focus RS, but it will not hit the market until 2014 as a 2015 model.

According to a report by Top Gear, we can now bring you some tentative details of what to expect. Under the hood, Ford will be using a turbocharged 2.3-liter direct-injection engine. It should produce at least 320bhp ( 238 kW / 324 PS ) and a de-tuned version will also make its way into the 2014 Ford Mustang.

The Focus RS will only be available in front-wheel-drive. It has been decided that the extra weight that results from the all-wheel-drive system isn't what the market wants. Additionally, it wouldn't fit alongside the lowered sports chassis without hacking away at the floor.

The Focus RS will only be available as a five-door hatchback when it is launched.

Zapravo nije, na platformi novog Polo-a je. (Ibica Mk.4 2008- i Audi A1 platforma).
