Daleko od toga da je potrebno, zapravo meni je smesno zato sam i stavio smajli.
Ja licno to ne bih uzeo i mislim da bi mi vise smetalo nego sto bi mi koristilo.

The storm's surge of more than 13 feet inundated transit tunnels and underground utilities, destroyed homes and eroded natural barriers such as beaches after it struck Oct. 29.

Toyota Motor Corp., Chrysler Group, Nissan Motor Co., Honda Motor Co. and their dealers plan to scrap more than 15,000 new vehicles damaged by Hurricane Sandy as the industry continues assessing the storm's impact.

Nissan alone estimates more than 6,000 Nissan and luxury Infiniti brand cars and light trucks are "un-saleable" because of the storm, Travis Parman, a company spokesman, said late this week.

Including used autos and those of individual owners, as many as 200,000 light vehicles may have to be replaced, said Larry Dixon, senior analyst for the National Automobile Dealers Association.

"Total vehicles affected may be about one-third of what we saw with Hurricane Katrina, and that was about 600,000" used and new vehicles, said Dixon, based in McLean, Virginia. "We don't see replacement demand starting to accelerate until we're into December."

Sandy, the biggest Atlantic storm in U.S. history, raked New Jersey, New York and the surrounding region with winds of as much as 100 miles an hour and led to at least 100 deaths. The storm's surge of more than 13 feet inundated transit tunnels and underground utilities, destroyed homes and eroded natural barriers such as beaches after it struck Oct. 29.

Missed estimates

U.S. industrywide light-vehicle sales in October fell short of the average estimate of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg after Sandy slammed the East Coast during the industry's busiest time of the month. Sales for the month rose 6.9 percent, below the 12 percent gain that was the average of nine estimates.

Automakers have said those sales should be made up by year end.

Fisker Automotive Inc., a startup maker of luxury plug-in hybrids, lost 338 of its $103,000 Karma sedans at the port of Newark, New Jersey, including 16 that burned in a fire triggered by salt water, said Roger Ormisher, a spokesman for the Anaheim, Calif.-based company.

"We don't have a full estimate of the cost to replace them yet," he said. The closely held company's cars were being processed for delivery to dealers when the storm arrived. Replacing 338 Karmas at the $103,000 base price would total $34.8 million.

Dozens of auto dealerships still have limited or no power more than a week after Sandy knocked out electricity to 8.5 million homes and businesses across 21 states.

Nissan scrapping

"Between dealer and port vehicles for both Nissan and Infiniti, initial estimates have us at more than 6,000 units as 'un-saleable' to be scrapped," Parman said in an e-mail message this week.

While 56 Nissan dealers were shut down by Sandy a week ago, "all but five are operational again," he said. All New York region Infiniti stores have also reopened, except for one, Parman said.

"We're working closely with dealers to get them replacement product as soon as they're ready to receive," he said.

Some 4,000 Toyota and Lexus vehicles were at the company's port facility in Newark when the storm hit, said Jana Hartline, a spokeswoman for Toyota's U.S. unit in Torrance, Calif.

"We have about 1,300 that we are taking a second look at" that may be salvaged, she said. "A little bit under 3,000 will likely be scrapped."

Toyota dealers

Another 825 vehicles in dealer inventory were damaged by Sandy and can't be sold, Hartline said.

Four Toyota dealers still lacked power as of Nov. 6, "but all of them are now able to receive vehicles," she said. Toyota is based in Toyota City, Japan.

Honda and Acura dealers expect to have to scrap about 3,440 vehicles, said Chris Martin, a spokesman for Honda's U.S. unit in Torrance, California. Scrappage decisions will be determined by dealers and their insurers, he said.

Additionally, about 500 U.S.-built vehicles Honda was preparing to export from the FAPS Inc. port facility in Newark were also damaged, Martin said yesterday.

Both Toyota and Tokyo-based Honda said they didn't yet have estimates of the value of the vehicles lost.

Chrysler dealers lost about 750 vehicles from their stock due to hurricane damage, said Ralph Kisiel, a spokesman for the company.

GM, Ford

General Motors isn't yet able to provide an estimate for damaged vehicles, said Jim Cain, a spokesman for the Detroit-based company.

Ford Motor Co. also couldn't immediately provide estimates for storm damage, said Elizabeth Weigandt, a spokeswoman for the automaker.

About 886,000 homes and businesses remained in the dark in New York and New Jersey this week, according to the U.S. Energy Department.

Hyundai Motor Co.'s U.S. unit lost 400 vehicles, said Lori Scholz, a company spokeswoman.

Only two of the carmaker's dealers in the New York region were still closed as of Nov. 6, she said.

Kia Motors Corp., a Hyundai affiliate, has about 200 vehicles "damaged beyond repair," said Scott McKee, a spokesman for the company's U.S. unit.

Kia inventory

The company's dealers in Bay Ridge, New Jersey, Jersey City and Staten Island "lost most or all of their inventory," McKee said in an e-mail message this week. The carmaker is working with those stores on a recovery plan, he said.

New York and New Jersey are among the top 15 U.S. states for vehicles in operation and auto dealerships, NADA said in a report this week. The two states also have a larger portions of cars than trucks and non-U.S.-based brands account for a significant share of total sales, the dealer organization said.

There are 886 auto dealerships in New York and 463 in New Jersey, according to NADA.

Aston Martin's largest shareholder, Investment Dar Company, has reportedly approached several suitors about the British brand.

The Kuwaiti company is reportedly looking to sell their 64 percent stake in Aston Martin and is rumored to have hired the Rothschild Group to advise them during the process. Little is known about who is interested in the company, but two sources have told Business Week that Mahindra & Mahindra is one possible candidate.

Another, more surprising, possibility is Toyota. A source familiar with the matter said the company hired an auditor to conduct a preliminary review of Aston Martin less than two months ago.

Investment Dar is reportedly asking $800 (€629 / £503) million for their stake which would allow them to recoup what they invested when they bought Aston Martin from Ford in 2007. Breaking even isn't ideal from an investment standpoint, but Investment Dar reportedly needs the funds to reorganize $4.9 (€3.8 / £3.0) billion of debt after missing a payment on an Islamic bond in 2009.

Motor - Oštriji odgovori motora u srednjem rasponu i bolje ubrzanje pri velikom broju okretaja.
Visokoprotočne brizgaljke koje točnije nadziru ubrizgavanje goriva poboljšavaju odziv motora na srednjim okretajima i ubrzanje na velikom broju okretaja. Classic cars, motorcycles and lorries are to be banned from Paris within two years under a plan to cut pollution that opponents claim is "anti-social, anti-suburban and anti-motorist".

Under proposals presented to the city council on Monday, Socialist mayor Bertrand Delanoë intends to outlaw by September 2014 the use of cars and utility vehicles more than 17 years old and lorries or buses more than 18 years old.

Motorcycles built before 2004 will also be forbidden, as the mayor said they were the "most polluting and noisiest".

The "old banger" ban will apply to all vehicles inside the A86 motorway that surrounds the French capital.

If the measures go ahead, classic old cars like 2CVs, Peugeot 205s and Renault 4Ls will be a thing of the past in the capital, along with sputtering but charming old Vespas and other two-wheelers deemed too dirty to drive.

Fabien Breuvart, the proud owner of a silver 1990 Renault 4L asked: "Is this mayor really Left-wing?"

The plan would "exclude the poorest people from driving in the capital" and turn Paris into an "island for the rich", he told Le Parisien newspaper.

The Socialists insisted they would introduce "social" measures to help families and businesses update vehicles, including state subsidies to scrap old cars for new ones – a move experts dubbed unrealistic given the huge cost of such a measure at a time of austerity.

Philippe Goujon, head of the Right-wing opposition UMP federation in the Paris council criticised the move as "anti-social, anti-surbuban and anti-motorist." He said it was a purely political manoeuvre by Mr Delanoê to make Anne Hidalgo, the deputy he hopes will succeed him in 2014, appear "greener" than the Greens.

Other measures unveiled on Monday included one to erect toll barriers on cross-city motorways for lorries. Eco-taxes will be also imposed for those using Paris' inner ring road, le périphérique, with heavy vehicles tracked via satellite or number plate recognition.

The idea, the mayor said, is to "progressively and in a concerted manner" ban all lorries from driving in or around the capital.

The speed limit on the ring road will be cut from 80kph (50mph) to 70kph (43mph), while the number of 30kph zones within Paris will be multiplied starting mid-2013.

The measures require approval at ministerial level and the Paris Préfecture de Police

They are part of a plan to turn Paris into a Low Emission Zone, cutting emissions by 30 per cent by 2015. Failure to comply with European air pollution norms could see Brussels slap a 100 million-euro fine on France in 2016.

Air pollution is responsible for 43,000 deaths per year in France and is estimated to take six months off Parisians' lives compared to those outside the capital.

The ban is the latest in Mr Delanoë's war on "the hegemony of the automobile" that has seen him introduce trams, bike and bus lanes and the popular cycle rental scheme. In the past year, he has launched Autolib', the electric car rental system and begun pedestrianising stretches of road along the banks of the Seine.

This has delighted most non-motorists, now the majority in Paris, but has dismayed car and taxi drivers, who claim traffic congestion is worse than ever.

François Legaret of the UMP said the latest "autocratic" measure would not solve the "paralysis" he claimed the other traffic schemes had caused.

Critics said it failed to tackle the real problem in France: its heavy reliance on diesel, used by 60 per cent of all vehicles and emitting three times as many harmful fine particles as petrol. The town hall sidestepped the issue by calling on the government to cut tax incentives to use diesel.

Users of old cars are only thought to account for three per cent of the 4.5 million or so vehicles in the Paris region.
